Client Manager

As a Client Manager, you’ll work closely with the Senior Client Manager to lead your section
of Inspira and to provide insightful financial information and excellent service to a range of
clients. You’ll need to have an enquiring mind and be really keen on helping owner-managers
(our clients) improve and grow their businesses.

Inspira is an exciting and fast-growing outsourcing business that specialises in the ‘finance
function’ of a business. We’re more than bookkeepers, providing a fully outsourced finance
function, from data entry, to financial controller and virtual Finance Director services.

We service over 50 owner-managed businesses, across a range of business sizes, with our
largest being £12m in turnover. We work with clients across a range of sectors, servicing both
UK and European markets. As a member of the Inspira team,you’ll work with your own client
portfolio, getting to know their needs and building a brilliant working relationship.

Main responsibilities

  • Managing your client portfolio and being involved in all decision making to meet client work and deadlines.
  • Preparing, analysing and providing feedback on client’s monthly results.
  • Be the client’s first port of call by providing insight financial information and knowledge about their business.
  • Developing good, long-lasting relationships with your clients and their internal teams will be key to your success.
  • Manage 1 to 2 of Inspira’s Finance Assistants, including recruitment, day-to-day management and development.
  • Be part of Inspira’s Client Management Team, contributing to Inspira’s long-term plans and day-to-day operational efficiency.

Your experience and skills

  • You need a clear ambition to work in a professional service environment.
  • A newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience of producing monthly management accounts, VAT returns and payroll.
  • A senior bookkeeper qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Experience of managing individuals.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and hit deadlines.
  • You’ll be energetic, positive and enjoy dealing with people as a key part of your job.
  • You’ll be quick to form professional relationships, including in a client setting.
  • Have a solid understanding of the technical requirements of management and financial reporting, including reporting processes within a finance department
  • Are able to demonstrate knowledge of a range of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. Further systems knowledge an advantage.
  • Good Excel skills.
