Interesting past experiences

John spent 25 years in the retail industry where he gained a wide range of experience.   His last role was Head of Development and Communications at Debenhams plc where he worked with 20,000 sales advisors to build up brand and product knowledge and helped 700 managers to launch the vision and values of the business.

He has used his work experience to become a Training and Development consultant, developing people to deliver improved performance and sustainable change.   He always makes a measurable difference – more than just numbers on the bottom line – in developing a business culture where people care about each other, produce results and stay.

John and Inspira

For the past seven years John has led Inspira’s HR team on various projects, his work is predominantly as a facilitator usually with teams. Recent assignments include developing a team of business coaches for the Royal Mail and delivering a series of workshops for HR professionals in the UK and Far East for a multi-national business.


When not working you will find John either in (kayaking) on (sailing) or near (walking) the sea where he lives with his wife, 2 dogs and 12 guitars.
